Five metrics, four public datasets, zero invented figures. CPM, CPC, CPA, ROAS, and CTR by industry, compiled from WordStream, Triple Whale, Superads, and Databox, with every row linked to the page it came from. None of it is Raintree client data.
Benchmarks answer one question well: is my account in the normal range, or is something structurally off? They answer nothing else. Used correctly they are a triage tool. Used badly they become a target, and optimizing to someone else's median is how accounts drift away from their own economics.
One more thing benchmarks cannot see: your margin. The industry median ROAS of 1.86 is profitable for a 60% margin store and a slow bleed for a 35% margin store. Before comparing anything, run the breakeven calculator so you know which side of that line you are on.
Four public datasets, each with a different sample and method. Every table row on the metric pages links back to one of these.
WordStream by LocaliQ, Facebook Ads Benchmarks 2025
Averages across 554 traffic and 726 lead campaigns from US advertisers, April 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. Published September 2025. Covers CTR, CPC, conversion rate, and cost per lead by industry and objective.
Triple Whale, Facebook Ad Benchmarks by Industry
Medians across about 35,000 ecommerce brands on the Triple Whale platform, full year 2025, updated April 2026. Covers CPA, CPM, conversion rate, ROAS, AOV, and CTR by ecommerce category.
Superads, Facebook Ads Cost Benchmarks
Medians across more than $3B in tracked Meta spend, rolling 13-month window (July 2025 through July 2026 as accessed in July 2026). Covers CPM, CPC, and CTR globally, by country, and by industry segment.
Databox, Facebook Ads CTR Benchmark
Live cross-company median from a benchmark group of about 1,250 companies, accessed July 2026. Covers CTR. Useful as a sanity check against the campaign-level studies.
Compilation note: these are published industry aggregates from the named sources, not Raintree client data. Sources sample different advertisers, periods, and metric definitions, and none of them audits the others. Where public data was thin, the metric pages say so instead of padding tables. Figures were verified against the linked pages in July 2026 and will drift as sources update.
Start with the free tracking audit: it checks whether Meta is getting clean conversion signal from your site in about 20 seconds. Or book 30 minutes and we will read your numbers against these benchmarks with you.
